Awkwafina

Awkwafina began as an American performer and rapper, making sly songs that addressed issues such as racial and sexual identities with a funny twist. Prior to her move into Hollywood the singer was able to make a few songs. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was via the trumpet. She also received Jazz and classical training before becoming a hip-hop teenager. While at school, she majored in journalism, and women's studies in college even studying Mandarin in Beijing for a time. It wasn't until she graduated that she start focusing on music. After becoming famous on the Internet the My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually made its way onto the album she released, Yellow Ranger. Other viral hits included the Queef track and the eye-catching NYC Bitchecity tour. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in 2015, which was a different initiative. Her resume included both musicians and an author. Now she was looking to expand her career into acting. Her film credits include films such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed a number of notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
